Frequently asked questions
What is an NFO?
A New Fund Offer is the first subscription period of a new mutual fund scheme. Units are usually offered at ₹10 each.
Is a ₹10 NFO cheaper than an existing fund?
No. The NAV only reflects the value of the fund's holdings; a low NAV does not mean the fund is cheap or will grow faster.
How is the return calculated?
Units = amount ÷ NFO price. Current value = units × current NAV. The annualised return spreads the gain over the time since the NFO.
