EPF Calculator
Estimate your Employees' Provident Fund (EPF) balance at retirement from your salary, age and yearly salary increase.
Frequently asked questions
How much goes into EPF each month?
You contribute 12% of basic salary plus DA. Your employer also contributes 12%, of which 8.33% (up to ₹1,250 a month, on wages up to ₹15,000) goes to the pension scheme (EPS) and the rest to your EPF.
How is EPF interest calculated?
Interest is worked out every month on the running balance and credited to your account once a year. The rate is set by EPFO each financial year; the calculator starts at 8.25%.
Can I contribute more than 12%?
Yes, through the Voluntary Provident Fund (VPF). Enter a higher contribution % to include it. Your employer's share does not change.
Is the pension (EPS) included?
No. The result is your EPF balance only. The EPS pension is paid separately, based on your service and salary.
